Medical Student who threatened the Minister of Health of Jharkhand was arrested from Sarnath in UP
Ranchi, September 11 (IANS). Police have arrested a medical student from Sarnath in Uttar Pradesh for threatening the Minister of Jharkhand, Dr. Irfan Ansari, to kill on the phone. The arrested youth has been identified as Jayant Kumar Singh, a resident of the Ganapatnagar colony of the Sarnath police station. Police also recovered a cellphone used to threaten him from him. An official from the Bokaro Steel City police station said the Minister of Health filed a fir on Monday. The minister said he received several calls from the same number on Sunday night. The caller threatened the attack and accused Rohingya of protecting. During the investigation, it was found that the mobile SIM used to threaten was registered in the name of Naina Singh of Uttar Pradesh. Jayant was identified as accused of supervision. The Jharkhand police, who reached Sarnath in search of him, had overtaken his home for two days with the help of local police, but he avoided the arrest. On Thursday, when Jayant tried to run on a bike to Ghazipur, based on the mobile location, police stopped the road bus near audihar and stopped the way and besieged and arrested him. The initial interrogation of the police revealed that Jayant MBBS studies had completed and was preparing to enter the master’s degree in medical. One of his homes is also in Shillong, Meghalaya. According to the charge of the Minister of Health Irfan Ansari, the caller directly threatened him and called him abusive.
