Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto holds a number of meetings with officials in Thailand during his visit to the Elephantland. Palace said Prabowo’s visit was an attempt to strengthen the relations of Indonesia and Thailand in various strategic sectors. “In the context of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr Prabowo Subianto to Thailand, he will perform a series of important agendas to improve the bilateral relationships between Indonesia and Thailand,” the deputy for protocol, press and media of the presidential secretariat, Yusuf Permana, said in a statement on Sunday. The meeting was a symbol of the close diplomatic relations between the two countries and the high respect of the Kingdom of Thailand to Indonesia. Prabowo and PM Pateongtarn are scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting of the Indonesian government and the Thai government. The meeting will discuss the strengthening of collaboration in various fields. During the meeting, Prabowo will be accompanied by a number of high -ranked ministers and civil servants. “The president will be accompanied by the coordinating minister of the economy, Foreign Minister, and also the Cabinet Secretary, and the Indonesian Ambassador to Bangkok,” Yusuf added. After a bilateral meeting, the Indonesian government and the Thai government will sign a memorandum of understanding (sleeve) that reflects the seriousness of both parties in the expansion of the partnership. The official series of President Prabowo’s official visit is terminated with an official lunch dinner held at Government House. “Meanwhile, media friends who can convey us about the agenda of the official visit of Mr. President Prabowo in Thailand,” Yusuf concluded. This visit is expected to further strengthen friendship and open opportunities for new collaboration between Indonesia and Thailand in the future.
