Ahmedabad Crime branch busts Syrian gang that plunged money from mosques by positioning as Gaza victims
The Ahmedabad crime branch has a Syrian gang that raised money at mosques through a victim of the Gaza conflict, today reported India. The crime branch also arrested one member of the gang, identified as Ali Meghat Al-Azhar, who was on a tourist visa in India, added the report. The officials said that Al-Azhar and his co-workers raised funds from mosques in Gujarat, claiming to be the welfare of the war of war in Gaza. After being questioned, Al-Azhar acknowledged that the money was actually used to “finance their lavish lifestyle,” the report added that the police were cited. Meanwhile, three of Al-Azhar’s accomplices are currently underway. Police even said that all the suspects also entered India tourist visas, which are contrary to the visa rules. The crime branch said: “Such activities could pose a threat to the internal security of the country.” Police added that both state and central agencies are now investigating the motive behind the fund collection and the possible use of the money. Meanwhile, officials have blacklisted proceedings and deported the arrested accused, reports India Today.
