Meta plans fourth restructuring of AI attempts within six months, reports the information reports

August 15 (Reuters) – Meta is planning its fourth review of artificial intelligence efforts within six months, the information reported on Friday, citing three people familiar with the matter. The company is expected to divide its new AI unit, Superinteligence Labs, into four groups: a new ‘TBD laboratory’, which is short; a products that include the Meta AI assistant; an infrastructure team; And the fundamental AI research (Fair) lab focused on long-term research, the report states, citing two people. Meta did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Reuters could not verify the report independently. As Silicon Valley’s AI competition increases, CEO Mark Zuckerberg goes all in to work quickly on artificial general intelligence machines that people can think of and help create new cash flow. Meta recently reorganized the company’s AI efforts under Superintelligence Labs, a high pressure followed on senior staff disorders and a poor reception for Meta’s latest Open Source Llama 4 model. Social media giant tapped US bond giant Pimco and alternative asset manager Blue Owl Capital to lead a $ 29 billion financing for its expansion of the data center in the rural Louisiana, Reuters reported earlier this month. In July, Zuckerberg said Meta would spend hundreds of billions of dollars to build several massive AI data centers. Last month, the company raised the lower end of its annual capital expenditure by $ 2 billion to a series of $ 66 billion to $ 72 billion. Rising costs to build the infrastructure of the data center and the remuneration costs of employees – as Meta researchers with mega salaries syrup – would push the growth rate of 2026 in 2025 the cost of the expenses, the company said.
