Kolkata, September 21 (IANS). The meteorological department expressed the possibility of rain and thunderstorms before Durga Puja on Sunday. According to the meteorological section, there is an area of cyclonic winds on the northern Andamese sea and along the Myanmar coast. This cyclone will move to the North and North West and will reach the northern wave of Bengal by Monday. In addition, there is a possibility of a low pressure area in the north-east of the Bay of Bengal near Myanmar and Bangladesh Coast by September 25. A senior official of the meteorological department said: “It will turn into deep pressure in the next two-three days. As a result, there is a possibility of rain at the beginning of Durga Puja. There is a possibility of heavy rain in the coastal areas. In such a situation, heavy rain will begin from fourth place (September 25). On Monday, all districts of South Bengal light are expected to receive moderate rain. On Monday, there is a warning of one to two mm of heavy rain in South 24 parganas, East Midnapore and West Midnapore Districts. Tuesday, heavy rains were warned in south -24 parganas, East Midnapore and West Midnapore, and parts of the Bankura districts. On the other hand, there will also be rain in North Bengals. There is a possibility of rain and electricity in all districts on Sunday. There is a possibility of thunder and electricity in all Darjeeling districts to Malda. With rain, strong winds can also blow at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour. Kolkata City will also receive light to moderate rain from Monday, which can fade the enthusiasm of festivals.
