Michael Sloan, the award-winning television writer and producer best known for the composition of the hit series ‘The Equalizer’, died at the age of 78. He died on Wednesday in New York, his birthplace and lifelong home. Sloan was an important figure in American television and compiled “the equalizer” with Richard Lindheim. The original series, which aired in the 1980s, followed a former intelligence agent by using its skills to help people in trouble and sustained a dedicated succession. The show later inspired several film adjustments with Denzel Washington, as well as a successful recharge led by Queen Latifah.
