Minister of Delhi warns against criminal action about 'wrong information' amid monkey's allegations

Delhi Minister Ashish Sood warned on Tuesday against strict legal action against those who allegedly spread wrong information about power interrupts in the city. Delhi power minister Ashish Sood on Tuesday threatened to take serious legal action against someone who falsely spread false information about the city’s power underpinnings. (Pti) His remarks have come amid a political struggle between the ruling BJP and the opposition monkey over demands of disruption in electricity supply. “We will take strict steps against such false accounts and the people who support these accounts. We will take criminal steps, not civil, against the culprits,” Sood said in the Delhi meeting as he responded to an attention -to -attention. There is no electricity crisis,” he said, adding that the power failures are due to equipment maintenance, a process that takes place every year. He further accused AAP, including the leader of Opposition atatathi, for spreading ‘false narratives’ on social media using false accounts and bots. “The opposition is trying to bring about disorder in the city through wrong information,” he added. Sood offered data on power cuts in Delhi, claiming that since the BJP government has taken the lead, there were fewer interruptions at Atatathi’s home compared to other areas. “Over the past ten years, there have been 2,72,137 power cuts in Delhi that lasted more than an hour, on average 75 times a day. No one can refute this data,” he said. Earlier in the day, Aap Mas Kuldeep Kumar and Sanjeev Jha submitted notices to the Delhi secretary and asked a discussion about the power cuts affecting several areas in the city. In terms of Rule 59, Kumar asked for an adjournment movement to discuss the issue in the meeting. “These interruptions have hampered residents, disrupted enterprises and essential services. The situation requires immediate attention and a thorough response from the government,” Kumar claims. However, Mla Kumar was absent during the reaction of the minister, as all monkey MLAs had a hike. Speaker Vijender Gupta condemned the monkey MLA and warned Kumar about his future behavior, while some BJP MLAs acted against him. Monkey leaders, including former chief minister Arind Kejriwal, blamed the BJP for the alleged ‘crisis’. “We’ve secured uninterrupted power for ten years. In just a month, they ruined the system,” Kejriwal posted on X on Friday. On Monday, Lop Atati also blamed the BJP-led administration for the interruptions, in which he claims ‘mismanagement’. How is it that there were no interruptions in ten years, but within a month after the BJP rule, power cuts are back? That means just one thing: The BJP doesn’t know how to run the government. They do not have the intention or ability to serve the people of Delhi, ‘Atati said. Atatishi also posted a photo on X and said: ‘Until now, I share others’ tweets about power cuts. But now the electricity has gone down my own home. “Also read: Bengal Court is issuing arrest order against former BJP MP Arjun Singh.
