Jakarta – The Minister of Social Affairs, Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) met the Cabinet Secretary, Lt. Col. Teddy Indra Wijaya, asked to become the PKH ethics and companion commission. He conveyed this during a visit to the Senior High School (SRMA) 33 South Tangerang. “I ask the Cabinet Secretary, Lt. Col. Teddy, to be an accompanying order for PKH in addition to being an Ethics Commission, do you agree?” Gus Ipul said in a written statement on Sunday (19/10/2025). Gus Ipul explained to Teddy that there were 40 thousand PKH mates who were previously appointed as PPPK. He also conveyed the President’s message to work well and have a real impact on social welfare. This includes distributing aid in a targeted manner. Gus Ipul said he had given warnings to nearly 500 PKH assistants who were not working according to procedures. “We stopped 49 of them through an ethics commission hearing,” he said. On this occasion, Gus Ipul explained that Teddy’s visit to Sekolah Rakyat was because he was asked to accompany and supervise this program of planning to the alma mater of Sekolah Rakyat students. Gus Ipul explained that apart from People’s School students, the government will also empower the students’ parents. “So the child graduates, the family also graduates and becomes an independent family,” said Gus Ipul. Once empowered, the government will also build student houses to make them livable. Their parents will also become members of the Red and White Village Cooperative, receive full social assistance, become members of PBI, students will also receive free nutritious meals and free health check-ups. Gus Ipul added that there are currently 35 students who will receive scholarships in 2028. “Of these 35, there are 7 who will definitely get a job. Graduates of the People’s School will always be under supervision if they want to study or work,” he said. Gus Ipul also advised the People’s School students not to be shy and continue to be confident. “People’s school students should not feel inferior, regardless of the circumstances of their parents, they still love their parents and respect their teachers,” he concluded.
