New -delhi, October 13 (IANS). Bos and Climate Change Minister Bhupendra Yadav said on Monday that one decade has been completed since the acceptance of the Paris agreement. COP30 must take this opportunity to send a strong political message that multilateralism remains the cornerstone of global climate action. He led India’s intervention at the COP30 ministerial round table in Brazil, an official said in the statement. The minister congratulated the COP30 presidency on the creation of an inclusive environment for an open and forward-looking dialogue. The thirtieth meeting of the parties’ conference (COP30) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) will be held from November 10 to 21. In his speech, Yadav emphasized that it is necessary to ensure concrete results in Belém. “The focus should be on translating climate obligations into real actions that accelerate the implementation and directly improve people’s lives,” he said. “COP30 must be the police officer,” the minister stressed. He said all countries should agree on a minimum package of indicators for the UAE-Belem work program. He added: “We need to send an inspiring message to the world through the Baku Adjustment Road Card we are on our way to ensure the safety and well-being of billions of people and leave no one behind.” Yadav emphasized that, above all, there is a need to strengthen and strengthen the flow of public finances for adjustment, which may also improve the flow of finances from other sources.
