Jakarta – Minister of Population and Family Development (Kemendukbangga), Wihaji closed the 2025 Planning Generation Ambassador and Creativity Appreciation Event (ADUJAK GenRe) in the Riau Islands. This event is a forum for appreciation and cooperation among the younger generation to strengthen the spirit of diversity and family planning. The activity held at Tugu Sirih, Gurindam Square 12, Tanjungpinang on Thursday (23/10) was warmly welcomed by thousands of residents and hundreds of participants from various regions. They were enthusiastic to watch the performances of participants from various provinces who elevated the event. In his remarks, Wihaji, who also serves as Head of the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN), expressed his appreciation to the Riau Islands Provincial Government for hosting the 2025 GenRe Ambassador Appreciation and National Creativity Jamboree (ADUJAKNAS) activities this year. The Riau Islands province is really special and will always be remembered by participants from all over the archipelago,” he said in a written statement on Friday (24/10/2025). Wihaji said that ADUJAKNAS activities were not just a competition event but a social movement that had a long-term impact on the planning generation. “Tonight’s competition should have an effect not only on the participants but on the community. Usually events like this are held in hotels, but this time in Tanjungpinang the public can experience it. This is new history for GenRe Indonesia,” he explained. Furthermore, Wihaji hopes that GenRe will be able to encourage the development of the potential of the younger generation through various activities and competitions. He emphasized the importance of maintaining enthusiasm so that it continues to have a positive impact in each region, and not just stop at the competition stage. All the ambassadors who attended went through a series of selections for a year, from the district/city level to the provincial level, and now appear at the national level as the best representatives of their respective regions. Meanwhile, the governor of the Riau Islands, Ansar Ahmad, emphasized that this event is not only a creativity competition, but also a space to promote a spirit of diversity, unity and unity among the younger generation throughout the archipelago. ADUJAKNAS is a collaborative laboratory for hundreds of teenagers from all over Indonesia to dialogue, reflect and exchange ideas. They discussed important issues such as child marriage, mental health, digital literacy and the demographic bonus. This year’s ADUJAKNAS offers a new nuance through environmental management activities such as mangrove planting, as well as cultural literacy focusing on the rich culture of Penyengat Island. “Children from all provinces gather here and learn about togetherness and diversity. This is a true testament to how GenRe instills the spirit of Indonesian unity,” he concluded. During the event, Wihaji Ansar Ahmad and the Chairman of the TP PKK Riau Islands Province, Dewi Kumalasari Ansar, confirmed as the Father and Mother of GenRe, Riau Islands Province. On the eve of the final conclusion of ADUJAK GenRe 2025 at the national level, the first winner of Duta GenRe 2025 was announced. Fikrul Azka from Aceh won the title of best male, while Azhar Nuriyanti from West Java was selected as champion in the female category. Both received plaques, trophies and certificates from the Ministry of Population and Family Development/BKKBN, as well as scholarships directly from the Minister of Population and Family Development/Head of BKKBN. Present at the event were Ansar Ahmad, Dewi Kumalasari, the Advisory Board for the Dharma Wanita Association of Kemendukbangga/BKKBN Uni Kuslantasi, Deputy for Family Welfare and Family Empowerment of Kemendukbangga/BKKBN Nopian Andusti. Also present were Expert Staff of the Minister of Defense for Social Affairs, Major General TNI Rionardo, Special Staff of the Minister of Population and Family Development/Head of BKKBN, mayors and regents across Indonesia or their representatives.
