On this occasion, Gus Ipul presented symbolic compensation to the 38 heirs of the deceased. Each received compensation of IDR 15 million. The total death toll from the collapse of the Al-Khoziny Islamic Boarding School building has reached 63 people. A total of 22 of them received compensation. The Ministry of Social Affairs also handed over compensation to the families of 35 injured victims. Victims of serious injuries receive compensation of IDR 5 million, and victims of minor injuries IDR 2.5 million. “The rest will follow (with assistance). Later, the injured will also follow, both seriously and lightly,” he said. Apart from that, the Ministry of Social Affairs also provided basic food packages worth IDR 14,250,000 to the families of the victims who died.
