This visit also provides opportunities for cooperation in the development of the aviation industry through connectivity in Indonesian transmigration areas. “Indonesia is an archipelagian country, so it needs strong connectivity. The best connectivity is naturally with the air. We see opportunities for transmigration areas in the central and eastern regions of Indonesia to be developed into industrial areas that support the aviation sector, including aircraft maintenance services,” he explained. He added that collaboration with Comac could be the first step to encourage technology transfer and increase the competence of local human resources. This is relevant to the vision of the Ministry of Transmigration in the development of transmigration areas to new productivity -based economic centers. “We already have our own aviation industry, and with collaboration like this, we learn to become a more productive nation, not just a consumers,” he said. Apart from the industrial aspect, this visit is also part of the president’s direction to accelerate the development of the eastern region of Indonesia, especially Papua. According to him, the direction of transmigration development is now no longer limited to population transfer, but also economic development through the creation of strategic investments in the region. “The Ministry of Transmigration is no longer just to move people, but encourages the development based on investment and industrialization. In this way, transmigration areas can become new growth centers that contribute significantly to national economic equality,” he said. This strategic step is expected to be a milestone in the transformation of modern transmigration policy from only a population comparison program to a car for the development of excellent human resources and productive industrial areas, just like the industrialization model successfully implemented in China. While in China, the delegation of the Ministry of Ministry is scheduled to visit the province of Shanghai and Hubei to meet government officials from universities and business. Meanwhile, Chinese ambassador to Indonesia, Wang Lutong, said that opportunities for cooperation are wide open, from agriculture, industrial mechanization to tourism. “We are very proud to welcome my friend, Minister IFTITAH and his entire delegation. The purpose of this visit is to carry out the agreement between the two presidents, especially in joint efforts to overcome poverty, strengthen development collaboration and share experiences in the empowerment of the community,” Wang said.
