Madhya Pradesh Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah publicly apologized for the third time after his controversial remarks on senior officer of Indian army colonel Sophia Qureshi. This excuse came that the Special Investigation Team (Sit) that existed by the Supreme Court launched its investigation, as the court found Shah’s previous excuse insufficient. Despite the ongoing investigation, Shah has been missing since his Fir was registered against him on May 15, raising concerns about his hiding place. The Supreme Court will hear the case on May 28. In a video posted on the social media platform X (East Twitter), Shah expressed deep regret for his comments and described it as ‘linguistic error’. He said, “I am very sad and upset about the horrific slaughter in Pahalgam. I’ve always been honored for my country and honor for the Indian army. The words I spoke were hurt the community, religion and compatriots; it was my linguistic mistake.” Shah emphasized that he did not intend to injure any religion, cabinets or community and that he honestly apologized to Colonel Qureshi, the Indian army and citizens of the country. This excuse came after Shah’s previous attempts were rejected by the Supreme Court. On May 19, 2025, the court criticized his comments, which called him a source of national disgrace and ordered him to investigate the incident. The court emphasized the seriousness of the case and emphasized the need to maintain the dignity and respect of the Army staff. The SIT, led by the inspector general of the Sagar Pramod Verma police, began his investigation and is currently evident. According to reports, Shah has not yet been asked for interrogation and investigation. The report is expected to be submitted, the dispute began on May 12, 2025, when Shah allegedly called Colonel Sofia Qureshi a ‘Sister of Terrorists’ at a public gathering at Mhow near Indore. This remark has spread widespread resentment and legal action. The Madhya Pradesh High Court has ordered a criminal case against Shah, described his language as “a gutter” and said it could provoke the division and weaken the national unit. Colonel Sophia Qureshi was a prominent person in the Indian army, known for his leadership during a military operation Sindoor in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. She worked as a role model for women in the military and was recognized for her contribution to national security. Share this story -tags
