Small gang rape in Godda, Jharkhand, arrested 8 accused; Search for other two continues
Godda, June 8 (IANS). The incident of gang rape of a minor tribal girl came to light in the Godda district of Jharkhand. Police came into action on Sunday as soon as the FIR was registered in the District’s Sunderpahari police and arrested eight out of ten accused in the incident. There are raids in search of two other accused. The arrested accused includes Sikander Marandi, Palthan Tudu, Rajesh Tudu, Jitendra Hansda, Surendra Murmu, Dhuna Marandi and two others. All the accused belong to the Tribal Society. It has been told that a minor girl, who comes from the Sindri town of the Sundarpahari police station, will attend a wedding ceremony in her aunt’s home in Jolo Village on June 6. During the ceremony, she went to the farm for feces at night, and two youths caught her and took her to a house and closed her in the room. A cloth was tied to his mouth and then he was raped by ten youths. The victim returned from her claws in the morning and returned to the hall. Once the information about this incident spread, the sensation in the village has spread. Some people of the Tribal Society convened a Panchayat in the village on June 7 with the aim of suppressing the case. In this, the victim’s family members were instructed to keep their mouths by calling out the honor of society, but the family decided to take the matter to the police. The victim’s family reached the Sundarpahari police station on Sunday and filed a complaint against ten accused. Sundarpahari police station said Ashish Kumar Yadav said the policy team had overturned the houses of the accused as soon as the complaint was registered. All the accused are residents of the Sindri village. Eight accused were arrested. Two accused have escaped, which is overcome on possible targets to arrest them.
