Mohsin Naqvi sets a new condition for BCCI, Suryakumar Yadav for Asia Cup 2025 trophy; "If the Indian team wanted trophy ..."
In a latest development, the Chairman of the Asian Cricket Board (ACC) and the chairman of the Cricket Board of Pakistan (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, embarked on a new condition for the Indian team to collect the Asia Cup 2025 trophy, in which Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav must collect the continent of the continent. The development came into Dubai, chaired by NAQVI, at a routine ACC meeting on Tuesday, where BCCI Rajeev’s vice president repeatedly demanded the trophy of the Asia Cup 2025. “He noted that if the Indian team wants the trophy, the Captain must visit the ACC office in person to receive it,” read a Geo News report. However, no decision was made whether the trophy would be handed over to the victorious Indian side. Mohsin Naqvi forced to congratulate India. The incident continued after India refused to take the silverware of NAQVI, which is also a minister in the Pakistan government, except to hold the top positions of ACC and PCB. Naqvi, it is learned, did not congratulate the BCCI members on India who won the Asia Cup, but by former treasurer Ashish Shelar to formally praise the unbeaten performance of the Suryakumar Yadav-led side. “When the meeting began, chairman (NAQVI), in his short opening remark, congratulated Nepal on winning against the West Indies and Mongolia for becoming an ACC member and concluding.” He forced NAQVI to congratulate and the PCB chief agreed and congratulated properly, “the source told PTI. The BCCI will take the case to the ICC that will hold its meeting in November.” Shukla and Shelar argued that the ACC trophy should keep in the office and BCCI would collect it. They said, “We want the trophy as legal winners.” Naqvi passed the money and did not say no at the same time. “It was made clear that the BCCI would complain to ICC and Shelar briefly left the meeting,” said the source that NAQVI quoted, saying that the latter ‘feels like a cartoon’ and embarrassed while waiting for the victorious Indian team on the Dais.
