Jakarta – The Harina train (KA) crashed into a trailer truck at the Kaligawe railway crossing, Tambakrejo Village, Gayamsari District, Semarang City. This is the moment the accident occurred. Amateur video from residents shows the truck’s tail turning 180 degrees after being hit by the train. Not long after, a train of trains pulled by a CC 206 locomotive arrived. Then a long horn sounded as the train moved forward and arrived at the scene. Not long after, the train hit the back of the truck. As a result, the truck suddenly spun and hit a wagon behind the locomotive. The sound of screeching train brakes was quite loud. The train stopped at the scene of the incident and blocked road access. KAI Daop 4 Semarang’s public relations manager, Franoto Wibowo, said this incident took place on Tuesday (21/10) afternoon. This incident involved the Harina train traveling from Bandung to Surabaya Pasarturi. “KAI Daop 4 Semarang said that on Tuesday (21/10) around 16.37 WIB, KA No. 100 Harina, Bandung-Surabaya Pasarturi connection, was hit by a truck at the JPL No. 5 Kaligawe guarded level crossing, between the Semarang Tawang-Alastua station in its official statement.
