Ed Summons BJP worker who claims to be Rahul Gandhi British National
The Maintenance Directorate (ED) called a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker who filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court claiming that the leader of Congress Rahul Gandhi is a British national, the news agency PTI reports. The person, identified as S. Vignesh Shishir of Karnataka, was put off before the ED on September 9 and provided all the evidence and documents he has on the matter according to the provisions of the Currency Management Act (FEMA), the PTI report states. Under FEMA, the Federal Investigation Agency is investigating complaints related to foreign exchange legislation by individuals and companies. The official sources said that an investigation into these allegations is underway. Shishir in his pill claims that he has documents and some e -mails from the British government that proves that Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, is a British citizen, and that he is not eligible to dispute elections in India. On August 30, the Lucknow Bank of the Allahabad High Court ordered the union government to be provided by the Union government. In an interim order, a Bank of Justices Sangeta Chandra and Br Singh said: “We are satisfied that the case required consideration, as the temptator pursued his cases against a very powerful individual and constantly facing threats and should be issued at the investigating officer at Kotwali, Raebareli district.” Shishir submitted to the HC that the CBI was underway on his complaint, in June 2024, and he claimed to have appeared before the Agency in Delhi on several occasions, which gave evidence of the alleged British citizenship of Gandhi. During a hearing in this case, the central government informed the court that it had written to the United Kingdom government to seek details of Gandhi’s British citizenship. The Supreme Court posted the case for the next trial on October 9.
