The President of the Maharashtra Congress accused the government of Fadnavis of eradicating "unity in diversity"
Mumbai, April 18 (IANS). The opposition is an attacker on the state government’s decision to make Hindi mandatory in Primary Schools in Maharashtra. State Congress President Harsh Vardhan Sapkal on Friday accused the state government of eradicating the idea of unity in diversity in the country. He requested the government to withdraw this decision as soon as possible. Under the new education policy, the government of Maharashtra decided to make Hindi language compulsory from the first to fifth class in schools. The congress is opposed to it. Harshvardhan Sapkal targeted the government by holding a press conference on Friday. He said: “The steps the government has taken on the language are wrong. Mother tongue is needed, marathi is not only language but also culture. It is the identity of the people of Maharashtra. The government has played very disgusting with our identity. The children will not work for any work.” He said: “The government intends to close government schools and send all children to private schools. Many issues will come about the implementation of Hindi language so that children cannot read. So it is opposed. Our civilization also stops his studies, but despite it, the government has taken this very wrong step. This is their political behind it.” He described the threat to the unity and integrity of the country and said: ‘They (BJP leaders) want to eradicate the idea of India with’ unity in diversity ‘. They want to eradicate all cultures and languages. They want to establish the ‘Hindi, Hindustan and Hindu’. If this happens, then the unity and integrity of the country does not happen. -Ians Sch/Ekd Share this story Tags
