Recently, an advertisement called Mahaprasad came out on an online app, in which Lord Jagannath’s Khaja and Nirmanya are sold at high prices. The Puri district AAM AADMI Party has filed a formal complaint with Puri Cyber Police Station. The AAM AADMI party claims that religious sentiments are injured by playing with the faith of the devoted. The party said KHAJA is available in Puri at different prices of Rs 200 per kg to different prices, but online is cheated by dedicated by selling it up to 1200 per kg. The party’s district president Sanjeev Mahanti said that “such cases in the name of religion are not only a deception of faith, but also a criminal act. The police and the Shrimandir administration will now have to take drastic steps on these incidents to take place again and again.” He warned that if action was not taken soon, the AAM AADMI party would create a mass movement. Along with the immediate investigation of Cyber Police Station, he claimed strict legal action against the relevant online platforms and sellers. It is noteworthy that there have been controversies many times about the sale of Mahaprasad and Nirlya on the online platform.
