In the past two days, more than 114 ordinary citizens have been killed in attacks by Paramilitary Force Rapid Support Forces (RSF) at two refugee camps in Al Faa Fashhar, the capital of the North Darfur State in the western part of Sudan. This information was given by a local officer. According to a report from the Xinhua news agency, Ibrahim Kharti, director -general of the Department of Health at North Darfur, said: “More than 100 people lost their lives and dozens of people were injured in an attack by RSF on the Jamjam camp on Friday.” He further said: “On Saturday, another attack on Abu Hobby Camp took place, in which another 14 people died and were very injured.” Ibrahim Khatir also said that those who were killed in the Jamjam camp also include 9 employees of a non-governmental organization called Relief International, which runs a temporary hospital in the camp. A voluntary organization called Emergency Room said that 40 civilians were killed on Saturday and hundreds of people were injured in RSF’s heavy shooting in the Abu -Hobsty camp. The RSF had no response to these attacks. Since May 10, 2024, there has been a great battle between Sudan’s Army (SAF) and RSF in Al Fahare. According to the United Nations, more than 29,600 people have lost their lives in the ongoing conflict between SAF and RSF in Sudan since April 2023.
