Special display of 'The Bengal Files' in Delhi, many leaders, including Relha Gupta, watched the film

New -delhi, September 12 (IANS). The special performance of Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s film ‘The Bengal Files’ was held on Friday in Delhi’s film Prabhat Division Auditorium. On this occasion, Delhi Chief Minister Kapil Mishra, BJP leader Satish Upadhyay and Malika Nadda, wife of BJP National President JP Nadda, saw Vali Gupta, Delhi chief minister Kapil Mishra. The film attracted the attention of the audience by raising the historical and contemporary issues of Bengal. Malika Nadda appreciated the film, saying: “It is a matter of concern that such incidents are happening in Bengal even today.” He praised the director for emphasizing the bitter truth of history through the film. Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra said: “This film tells the truth of the politics of the part and the failure. It is the responsibility of the theater to bring about the truth and Vivek Agnihotri has performed well. I request all the conscious citizens to see this film.” On the opposition to the film in the Western Bengals, he said: “Those who have something to hide are against freedom of expression. All Bengal must watch this film, because it emphasizes bitter truths.” Director Vivek Agnihotri said about the ban on the film in West Bengal: “This ban proves the subject of our film correctly. The film has a dialogue that runs Bengal from two constitutions- one from India and the other for some special people. This ban confirms it.” He described it as unconstitutional and tragic to artists. Actress Pallavi Joshi of the film expressed dissatisfaction with the ban, saying: “It is wrong to ban any artist. It is a democracy and everything must be according to the democratic principles, not to the will of the government.” BJP MLA Satish Upadhyay said: “The film reflects the events and wherever policies during the division of India. We must learn from the past how our people were tortured and the then governments did nothing.” ‘The Bengal Files’ left a profound impact on the audience.
