6163 Applications received under Premier Awas Yojana in Jhajjar
In order to provide financial assistance to the needy families in rural areas, there is a large number of survey in the district for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMay-G) 2.0. The last date applied by this scheme has now been extended to April 30, so that more and more suitable families can utilize it. So far, 6.163 applications have been received from all seven divisions from the district. Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya said this scheme is a blessing to the rural families who do not have their own homes or are forced to live in dilapidated and temporary homes. The purpose of the administration is to ensure that no suitable families in the district are deprived of the benefits of the scheme. He informed that the purpose of PMay-G is to realize the dream of a Pucca house for the needy and to provide safe and reverent life to the families. He instructed officials to speed up the recording process and include every qualifying beneficiary in the scheme, so that the residential dream of rural families of the district can be realized. Zilla Parishad CEO Manish Phogat informed that the recording for the scheme was being conducted at mission mode. He informed that the team of village secretaries went from door to door in the towns and identified the suitable families and registered their applications. Families who do not have Pucca houses or who live in dilapidated homes take precedence. Government investigations will inspect the homes of these families and determine what they qualify. He informed that villagers could apply via ‘AWAS plus’ mobile app themselves. Under the scheme, financial aid of a total of Rs 1.38 lakh was provided to the beneficiaries for the construction of Pucca homes. The first installment is Rs 45,000, the second is Rs 60,000 and the third is Rs 33,000. Share this story -tags
