Mother sitting on a camel gave darshan to the king! Send Mata fill the pockets of devotees

Built on the third highest peak of the Aravalli range in Rajasthan, Reti Mata Temple is not only a religious place but also a popular tourist spot. It is believed that the wishes of the devotees are fulfilled here. Considered one of the most important Shakti Sthals in Lasani of Devgarh Subdivision, this temple is about 362 years old (according to historian Shivnath Singh, 1720/1663 AD) and has praised the power of Mata Ambe since ancient times. Mata appeared on a camel. This temple was built by Rao Mansingh of Amet Estate in Vikram Samvat 1720 (circa 1663 AD). The story behind the name of the temple is that Rao Mansingh was once lost in these forests, and could not find his way. Then a woman riding a camel (called “Stuur” in the local language) appeared and showed them the right way. That night, Mata Ambika Rao appeared to Mansingh in a dream and ordered him to build her temple on the highest hill of the forest. Following this command from the Lord, Rao built a temple and installed the idol on the beautiful Aravalli hill. Because Mata appeared on a female camel (‘Sand’), she became known as Sand Mata. Laborers got gold coins. Historian Shivnath Singh has narrated in his book ‘Shivnath Prakash’ that the laborers were given a gold coin for every stone taken to the hill, which shows its prestige and importance. From time to time the Raos of Deogarh Estate also renovated the temple and built stairs. To reach the temple one has to climb 800 steps. The grandeur of this temple, about 40 feet high, is worth seeing. A beautiful marble statue is installed in the sanctum sanctorum. The interior walls have magnificent glass carvings. This temple is located at a height of about 6000 km (maybe 6000 feet or about 1.8 km) above sea level, due to which its beautiful place is visible from a distance. There are no steps on the hill at a short distance from the site, after which devotees have to climb about 800 steps to have darshan of the goddess. Devotees from other states also come to the temple. Reti Mata Temple is an important center of faith not only for the devotees of Rajasthan but also for the devotees of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. The devotees who come here firmly believe that their offerings from the goddess’s court never run out. During Navratri, a large crowd of devotees gather here, and for the entire nine days, different forms of the Goddess are decorated and worshiped in the traditional way. During Navratri, Jawaras are also ritually planted and immersed, making the sight no less than a spectacle. A surprising thing is that the temple has been struck by lightning three times in the last ten years, but the idol of the goddess has remained intact, which the devotees consider a divine miracle. Chittorgarh Fort is also visible from the temple. This temple is also a great tourist destination. The villages located within a radius of 100 kilometers from here look like islands. In clear weather, Chittorgarh Fort, about 170 kilometers away, is also visible, attracting domestic and foreign tourists from far and wide.
