MPR RI uses religious art to instill the spirit of Pancasila

Jakarta – Head of the Public Relations and Information Systems Bureau of the Secretariat General of the MPR RI, Anies Mayangsari Muninggar, attended the Al-Banjari Festival at the Bhakti Bapak Emak (BBE) Islamic Boarding School, Jombang, East Java. The activity titled ‘MPR People’s Performance: Al-Banjari Festival’ is a collaboration between the Indonesian MPR and the BBE Islamic Boarding School. “Through cooperation between the MPR RI and Islamic residences, we want to show the world that Islamic residences are not only guardians of the faith, but also guardians of the nation,” Anies Mayangsari said in a written statement on Sunday (19/10/2025). The festival, which was held on Saturday (18/10), was an opportunity for national da’wah that combined Islamic and Indonesian values. According to Anies, approaches through Islamic art and culture, such as prayers, are an effective way to establish the values ​​of the Four Pillars of the MPR RI in the younger generation. According to him, the Al-Banjari Festival is a cultural bridge to establish national and Islamic values, in line with the theme of Santri Day 2025, Escorting an Independent Indonesia to World Civilization. “Through this festival, we emphasize that Islamic and Indonesian identities are a unity that brings Indonesia to a civil and sovereign civilization,” added Anies. On this occasion, Anies also presented award certificates and trophies to participants who won the 2nd best position. The festival was also attended by member of the Indonesian MPR Hj. Sadarestuwati, kiai and community figures including KH Kholil Dahlan (Guardian of the Darul Ulum Rejoso Islamic Residence), KH Mustain Hasan (Syuriah PCNU Jombang), Prof. KH M Fakhruddin (Chairman of PC Pergunu Bareng), as well as members of Forkopimcam Nyai Together, Mr. Hj.
