Mumbai: Borivali Grp arrested stunting and tampering in the train
Mumbai, September 30 (IANS). A startling case came to light at the Borivali train station in Mumbai, where a young man tampered with women who traveled in a women’s compartment while stuning in a moving train. After the video of the incident went on Instagram viral, Borivali Grp police acted quickly and arrested the accused. Borivali GRP senior police inspector Dutta Khuparkar said the incident happened on September 29 at about 18:40. A female passenger drove in a female compartment of Dadar Fast Local Train to go from Virar to Andheri. When the train left Borivali station, a young man in the adjacent luggage space started to stun at the door. She made pornographic remarks and molested the female compartment. The incident was recorded by a passenger on his cellphone, which later went on social media viral. After the video became viral, BJP’s female leader Chitra Wagh acted immediately in the case. After this, Borivali Grp formed a special team and identified the accused using CCTV footage and facial recognition system (FRS). The accused was arrested on September 29 in collaboration with RPF Borivali Station. Investigation revealed that the name of accused Nathu Govind Hansa (35 years), who is a resident of Valsad in Gujarat. During interrogation, he acknowledged his crime. The accused was produced in court, where he was sent to judicial custody. Police have called on the passengers to immediately file a complaint about such incidents, so that strict steps can be taken against the criminals.
