Mumbai: Daughter killed, wife injured, fugitive accused arrested from Bihar
Mumbai, October 19 (IANS). The Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested a 40-year-old man for allegedly beating his 14-year-old daughter to death and seriously injuring his wife during a domestic dispute. The accused has been identified as Suleman Razzaq Kujra. During a domestic dispute in Santa Cruz, Kalina area of Mumbai, the accused beat his 14-year-old daughter to death and attacked his wife with a sharp knife, injuring her. The accused fled after the incident. Vakola police filed a case against the accused in terms of sections 103(1), 109(1) and 352 of the BNS and started investigation. Senior officers of the Mumbai Police took the matter seriously and formed several teams to nab the accused. The crime branch was also involved in the investigation of this case. According to the police, the accused Mohammad Suleman Kujra got angry and attacked both of them, due to which the daughter died instantly, while the wife Naseema Suleman Kujra is hospitalized in a critical condition. Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested the accused from Bihar who killed the 14-year-old daughter and fatally attacked his wife during a family dispute. Accused Mohammad Suleman Razzaq Kujra (40) tried to hide after the incident, but the police arrested him based on technical investigation and secret information. A senior officer said that a team of officers from Unit 9 and 10 was formed under the leadership of Senior PI Laxmikant Salunkhe of Crime Branch’s Unit 8 to nab the accused.
