Mumbai, October 8 (IANS). Trade and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal met British Minister of Trade Peter Kyle Wednesday. The purpose of this meeting is to move forward to the implementation of the India -uk Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (Ceta) and double the bilateral trade by 2030. Kyle came to India as a member of the trade delegation of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer during a two -day official visit to India. “This meeting is an important step towards the operationalization of the India-UK Ceta, with both ministers agreed to re-re-establish the Joint Economic and Trade Committee (Jetco) to oversee its implementation and implementation,” according to the Ministry Statement. In a post on X, Goyal said he was delighted to meet Kyle and he confirmed our shared commitment to the promotion of the India-UK economic partnership. The minister said: “Our discussions focus on accelerating the implementation of our landmark trade agreement and its benefits by the India-UK joint economic and trading committee (Jetco). We remain steadfast in our decision to convert ambition into performance, growth, job creation and deepening the relationship between the two parties.” Goyal was also co-chair of an impactful session on Advanced Manufacturing, a cornerstone of the India-UK partnership. “From AI to Aviation, Automotive to Semiconductor, we implement the India-Uk FTA,” Goyal said.
