Nagpur municipal corporation commissioner Abhijeet Chaudhary has unconditionally apologized in Bombay High Court for demolishing the properties of the accused in a recent riot case, acknowledged that the citizens were not aware of the orders of the Supreme Court about such actions. In an affidavit filed before the Supreme Court of the Nagpur Bank on Tuesday (April 15, 2025), Mr. Chaudhary said that the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) received no circular on the guidelines of the Supreme Court of the Maharashtra government, requiring proactive security measures before he required the assets associated with the accused.
