China's sports content exports to US $ 7.464 billion in the first quarter

Beijing, May 22 (IANS). The 12th China Sports Industry Exchange Conference showed that China’s export of sports material reached US $ 7.464 billion in the first quarter of 2025, which is an increase of 4.04% year-on-year. Yang Shyetong, director of the Sports Division of Sports Economics at the Chinese Government Sports Authority, said the export of sports fitness equipment increased by 19.83% and the export of treadmills increased by 17.08%. In recent years, the sports economy is thriving fast and has also seen vibration in sports consumption. Yang Shyetong reported that from January to April this year, seven provinces, including Hebai, Chiangsu, Chichayang, Fuchian, Shantang, Quangshi and Sachwan, launched a lead monitoring project about consumer inspired by sporting events. A total of 45.4 Lakh people participated in 420 major sporting events and consumed more than 10.1 billion Yuan. The data shows that the import export of sports goods in 2024 amounted to $ 29.883 billion and that the increase in exports began again.
