(Bloomberg) -The national guard will be deployed to Los Angeles as protests continue there for a second day, Trump administration -boundary Czar Tom Homan said on Saturday. Authorities mobilize troops to address’ violence and destruction that occurs near RAID places where protesters gather ‘, Homan said in an interview with Fox News’ The Big Weekend Show. Immigration and Customs and Enforcement said they arrested 2000 undocumented people nationwide this week, including 118 in LA. Meanwhile, more than 1,000 protesters surrounded a federal law enforcement building on Friday, according to the DHS. Earlier on Saturday, the Department of Home Security accused the Democratic leaders in California, including Governor Gavin Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass of a contribution to violence. “The violent target of law enforcement in Los Angeles by lawless rioters is despicable and Mayor Bass and Governor Newsom should ask that it be terminated,” DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement on Saturday. Several arrests have been made, Dan Bongino, Deputy Director of the FBI, said in an X post. DHS secretary Kristi mentioned the protesters warned that any violence against officers would be prosecuted. “You won’t stop us or delay us,” she said in an X -mail. The agency has promised to continue to increase arrests as authorities are making President Donald Trump’s promise to oversee the largest deportation effort in US history.
