Bhubaneswar, October 7 (IANS). The leader of the opposition and former chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday expressed serious concerns about the weakened law and order in Odisha. He said that there is an atmosphere of fear in the state even during the festive season. Patnaik wrote on social media: “In the midst of the celebration, there is an atmosphere of fear in the entire state. People felt uncertain.” Referring to the brutal murder of senior lawyer Pitabas Panda in Ganjam, Patnaik said: “The way in which a senior lawyer Paitabas Panda was shot dead when he stood in front of his home is very horrific and painful.
