Foreign Minister Jaishankar rejected Trump's arbitration claim again

New -Delhi, May 23 (IANS). Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar rejected US President Donald Trump’s claim that he played a mediator in the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. In addition, he made it clear that the ceasefire was the result of direct negotiations between the two countries, without any third -party intervention. In an interview with the media in the Netherlands, Foreign Minister Jaishankar said it was a case that only India and Pakistan should directly establish. He reiterated that India is ready to negotiate with Pakistan, but only on serious conditions, which is a priority to eliminate terrorism across the border. He said we are always ready for conversations, but the conversation should be serious and should be focused on stopping terrorism. The remark of Jaishankar comes following Trump’s previous remarks, where it was alleged that the US helped mediate in peace described as a ‘battle of a thousand years’ between the two South Asian countries. However, India has constantly said that the Kashmir issue and the associated tensions are bilateral matters and do not require external arbitration. In an interview recently, Jaishankar discussed the historical complications of India-Pakistan relations, which has been underway since the 1947 distribution, in detail. He said that the nature of the enmity of Pakistan began when he fought fighters disguised as stem environment in Kashmir, later identified as Pakistani soldiers, some of whom were in uniforms and some were not. It wasn’t. Jaishankar said that Pakistan has been on the path of extremism for many years and has been using terrorism across the border to put pressure on India. Let me tell you that after a deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, the tensions between the two neighboring countries increased, in which 26 people, including a Nepalese citizen, lost their lives. In response to this attack, India has launched an accurate anti -terrorism campaign ‘Operation Sindoor’ at nine major terrorists bases in Pakistan and Pakistan possession Kashmir (Pok). According to official sources, more than 100 terrorists related to notorious organizations such as Jaish-E-Mohammed, Lashkar-E-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen were killed in this campaign. -Ians PSK/Ekd Share this Story Tags
