After the surrender of 271 Maoists, including Politburo member Sonu alias Bhupathi and Central Committee member Rupesh alias Satish, the Central Committee issued a letter calling them ‘traitors’ and asking for punishment. The letter was issued in the name of ‘Abhay’, the spokesperson of the organization in the Bastar region, which was the name used by Bhupathi earlier. Bastar IGP Sundarraj P. said that this statement issued by the Maoists is a clear indication of the growing contradictions within them. This is another confirmation of the rapid weakening of the organization across the country, including Bastar. In this statement issued on October 16, the Central Committee admitted that the surrender of senior cadres including Bhupathi and Satish had deeply damaged the organisation. Their commitment weakened not only the Maoist movement in the Dandakaranya zone but the entire country. The committee said that Bhupathi, Satish and their associates are betraying and betraying the party. The letter also mentions that Bhupathi and Satish were active in South Bastar for a long time and played an important role in the Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee. Let us tell you that only three Politburo members are left active in the organization, Mallojula Venugopal Rao alias Ganapathy, Mishir Besra and Devji. Devji is considered the most influential. Ganapati is now almost out of active role due to his old age, while Mishir Besra’s influence is confined to limited areas of Jharkhand.
