NDA government ensures all development in Bihar: Samrat Chaudhary
Patna, October 3 (IANS). In front of Diwali and Chhath, the Bihar government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar 129 approved proposals in a cabinet meeting held in Patna on Friday. Deputy Chief Minister, Emperor Chaudhary, said that the NDA government in Bihar ensures all development. During the meeting, a major relief step for civil servants and pensioners was taken by increasing their beloved allowance (DA) by 3 percent. With this decision, DA increased from 55 percent to 58 percent, which will be in effect from 1 July 2025. This step, which is seen as a gift of the festive season before the upcoming meeting election, will benefit millions of government officials, pensioners and family pensioners. Deputy Chief Minister Chaudhary gave information about the Cabinet decision, saying: “The state government has approved to increase the beloved allowance from 55 percent to 58 percent according to the decision of the central government. This reflects our commitment to ensure that inflation does not affect the livelihoods of employees and pensioners.” As a result of this increase, the state treasury will cost an extra burden of Rs 917.78 crore in the financial year 2025-26. Political supervisors regard this announcement as a strategic step by the ruling NDA to gain support from about five Lakh state officials and millions of pensioners before the Bihar meeting. Apart from the allowance of the animals, the Bihar government has also increased the scholarship for school students. The Cabinet of Nitish Kumar doubled the help under the main minister Balak and Girls Scholarship Scheme, who favored millions of schoolchildren across the state. Students of Class 1-4 receive Rs 1.200 annually (more than Rs 600), Class 5-6 students receive Rs 2,400 (more than Rs 1.200) and students of Class 7-10 get Rs 3.600 (more than Rs 1.800). Officials said the move would give relief to poor and underprivileged students from primary schools, secondary and high schools and would be encouraged to continue their education. -Ians SCH/ABM shares this story tags
