It has now taken over ‘Red Notice’, the 2021 action film with Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot, who previously held the top position with 230.9 million views. The film tells the story of a K-pop girl group that secretly fights against mythical monsters while also acting on sold-out crowds. It became an immediate hit after its release on June 20 and was alone last week on Netflix, watching an additional 25.4 million times. ‘Kpop Demon Hunters’ also received a limited cinema release this weekend, a rare move for Netflix.
