These bridges to be built at a cost of Rs 3688 crore have been under construction since September 15. The purpose of this scheme is to improve rural roads due to flooding and old bridges. State Bureau, Patna. The Bihar government has taken a major initiative to connect towns with cities and strengthen the village level infrastructure. A total of 703 new bridges were approved in the current financial year 2025-26 under the Mukhyamantri Gramin Setu Yojana. Construction was also started from September 15. A total of Rs 3688 crore will be spent on this. Ad removed only. New and strong bridges will be built in place of old and dilapidated bridges. These routes will also be linked to bridges, where the roads are still incomplete due to the missing bridge. Also, bridges damaged by floods or other natural disasters are re -affixed. In many rural areas of the state, bridges have already been built, but the approach is not built.
