Remove ad, just read the news, in the Kharif season, from the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) account holder, from 1.06 crore farmers, only 20.55 lakhs are assured. This includes only 84 thousand farmers out of 15.64 Lakh KCC holders from cooperative banks. Other banks also have more or less the same situation. After that, a report was sought on this. In the last Kharif season under the Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance Scheme, 15,32,175 farmers of the state were involved. This time, a total of 21.18.448 (this includes KCC holder 20.55.430) has been added to the farmers. The figure is definitely more than last season, but in different banks the KCC account holders are much less than the number of farmers. According to departmental data, the number of KCC accounts in 11 banks out of 27 banks is more than three lakhs, but the percentage insurance compared to them is only 50-60 percent. This is the percentage of other banks, although the total number of account holders is less. However, from the total accounts, 31.41 Lakh KCC accounts are not the category for suitability. Their containers made themselves act under the insurance scheme (will separated from the scheme). Sumita Singh, director statistics at the Agriculture Division, said banks are currently updating data on the Government of India Portal, and the last date was September 14. As a result, there may be a slight change in the data, but the situation will remain almost the same. According to the department, banks are not interested in motivating farmers to inform the scheme and take advantage of the insurance. A report was given to the Minister of Agriculture in the case. After which a report from all banks was sought for the percentage percentage. At the same time, instructions were given to ensure all the eligible farmers in the Rabi season. In this case, general manager of UP Cooperative Bank RK Kulshrestha said the Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance Scheme is voluntary. This time, more farmers have been added compared to the previous season, efforts will be made to improve further in the Rabi season.
