‘NO rallies’: Strict restrictions on loudspeakers, provocative speeches imposed in Kargil with ‘immediate effect’

Official release, restriction on loudspeakers: The use of loudspeakers, sound systems, or vehicle-mounted public address systems is not permitted without prior written approval from the competent authority. Prohibition of inflammatory statements: Individuals are prohibited from making public statements, orally, in writing or via social or electronic media, that may incite enmity, disturb public peace, or lead to a breach of law and order. Prohibition of Unlawful Assemblies: Assemblies of five or more persons for purposes likely to disrupt public peace and tranquility are strictly prohibited within the town’s jurisdiction.
