Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Party officials Madhya Pradesh decided to ban the sale of all non -investment foods in Maihar City during the nine -day Navratri festival. Maihar becomes the focal point of dedication and celebration every year during the annual ‘Maa Sharde Chaitra Navratri Fair’. Civil officials said the purpose of the ban is to maintain the holiness and religious sentiments associated with the festival, in which dedicated from different parts of the country to the temple come to the temple for prayer and rituals. In addition, meat shops in Bhopal and Indore were ordered to be closed at the festivals of Chaiti Chand (March 30), Ram Navami (April 6), Mahavir Jayanti (April 10) and Buddha Purnima (May 12), civil officials said. To implement the ban in both cities, municipal officials warned that if the stores violated the orders, their licenses would also be canceled. In the Lok Sabha, many BJPMAs, including the former party Whip and the Department of Public Works of Madhya Pradesh, demanded that the meat shops be ordered in the state to be closed during Navratri. The government has already announced that liquor stores will be closed forever in 17 sacred cities across the state, including Maihar from April 1. Share these story plates
