Addressing the NDTV World Summit in New Delhi on Friday, he emphasized on the country’s progress and self-confidence. The prime minister said that India has turned every challenge into an opportunity and that today it is one of the top economies of the world. ‘Journey from compulsion to determination’ The Prime Minister said: “Previous governments did reforms out of compulsion; now we are doing it with conviction. Unknown times may be uncertain for the world, but for India it is an opportunity because it has always turned risks into reforms. But we have turned every reform into determination and every determination into revolution.” Highlighting India’s changing security policy, Modi said the country was no longer silent against terrorism. He said, “India is no longer silent after terror attacks but is retaliating with airstrikes, surgical strikes and Operation Sindoor.” “Excellent performance despite challenges” Proud of India’s economic progress, the Prime Minister said the country has performed remarkably despite global challenges. He said, “While wars made global headlines, India proved its critics wrong by emerging as the fastest growing economy. Today, India has moved from the Fragile 5 to one of the top 5 economies of the world.” “The talk of India is very natural” Describing India’s unstoppable progress as “unstoppable”, Prime Minister Modi said: “Today, when the world is facing various “hurdles” and “speed breakers”, the talk of “Unstoppable” India is very natural.
