Pankaj Kumar Singh, divisional rail manager at Western Railway, said in a conversation with Ians in Surat that passengers are needed on many stations for assistants or porters, but this facility was not available there. There were passengers in particular with senior citizens and wheelchairs regularly demand. In light of this, the Mumbai section started a new service. Now passengers can discuss assistants via online portal, app or phone call. If you book 30 minutes before you get to the train station, you will be ready to help you with a supporting trolley in the uniform. This facility was launched on the lines of the airport. He informed that this service is currently underway at Valsad Station, while Vapi and Vasai Road will start soon. These stations did not have the first porter or assistant, but now this facility will bring great relief to the passengers. DRM said this is happening in Indian Railways for the first time and it will meet the great need of passengers. On the preparations for the upcoming holiday season, DRM said that Surat and Udaipur areas are important to them. Many passengers travel from here. Like Holi and Kumbh Mela, special trains will also be run this time. Station -redevelopment work is also underway in Surat. Recently, some trains were affected due to traffic blocks, but it started from April. He said the announcement of Summer Special Trains is phase. Notices were left for April, May and June.
