Now the passport will only reach the right hands, otherwise it will be returned

A major change has been made in the passport delivery system. With the new rule coming into effect from Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has given clear instructions to the Postal Department that passports will only be delivered to the person in whose name they are issued. Postmen will no longer be able to deliver passports to neighbours, relatives or other people. However, if the main applicant is not present, the passport will be delivered to an authorized representative on behalf of the applicant. Delivery only to the specified address: If the passport holder is not present at the specified address, the delivery will be made only to his authorized representative. Passport will not be allowed to be sent or delivered to any other address. Even if the applicant is currently living at a different address, the Postal Department will not send the passport to the new address. If delivery to the specified address is not possible, the passport will be returned immediately and deposited in the Passport Office. Share this story Tags
