Now there will be no cost of Ola-Uber, travel will be cheap and easy with Bharat Taxi, know in which 20 cities the facility will start

Many types of complaints come every day about Ola-Uber taxi services. This includes unclean cars, arbitrary fares and canceled trips. To address these complaints regarding private taxis and ride-hailing apps, a government service, Bharat Taxi, was launched. The central government has started a taxi service called Bharat Taxi. This can be a big challenge for private taxi companies like Ola and Uber. Car owners and drivers will not have to pay any commission to the company, which means that the entire earnings will be theirs. Hence, they will choose Bharat Taxi over Ola, Uber or other taxi services. Cooperative taxi service to start soon Bharat Taxi will be the country’s first cooperative taxi service. The service will be launched on a large scale in December, while its pilot project will begin in the capital Delhi in November. 650 drivers/vehicle owners will be involved in this pilot project. This means that 650 vehicles will be available for this cooperative cab service, from which people will be able to use it. This service will expand from December and will gradually be available in other cities across the country. It is said that around 5,000 drivers will join this service by December and will be available with their vehicles to serve the public in different cities. How will Bharat Taxi work? Bharat Taxi has been jointly developed by the Ministry of Cooperation and National e-Governance Division (NeGD) of the central government. The Central Government has signed an MoU with Sahakar Taxi Cooperative Limited. It will work as a cooperative institution instead of a private company. Therefore, the manager will also be its co-owner. Sahakar Taxi will operate this service, while a board has been formed for its operation. You may have heard of the milk cooperative company that manufactures products under the Amul brand. Managing Director of the same company, Jayen Mehta has been appointed as Chairman of the Board. Eight other members of various cooperative societies are also involved. How can you use this service? Using this service is as easy as using the Ola or Uber app. Android users need to install the “Bharat Taxi” app from the Google Play Store, while iPhone users need to install it from the Apple Store. This service is said to be available in Hindi, English, Gujarati and Marathi. Most importantly, it will be subscription-based, in which drivers will get 100% of their earnings from each ride. They will only be charged daily, weekly or monthly depending on the subscription plan. These charges are said to be nominal. It is told that apart from Delhi, this service will be extended to 20 cities including Mumbai, Pune, Bhopal, Lucknow, Jaipur. Share this story Tags
