Jakarta – The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, Fadli Zon, officially declared National Keris Day on April 19. The introduction of National Keris Day is a form of state acknowledgment of the keris as a valuable cultural heritage that represents the values, philosophy and identity of different ethnicities in the archipelago. “Keris is not just an heirloom or historical object, but an expression of the philosophy of life, spirituality, traditional technology and artistic wealth of the country,” said Fadli Zon, in a warning cited in the Samantha Krida building, Sunday, Sunday, Sunday (4/20/2025). “He lives in the cycle of our people’s lives, from holy space to daily life. The event is also linked to the “Brawijayan Mondiacult 2025” event, an international cultural forum that increased Indonesian cultural diplomacy through art and heritage. At the event, he also attended the mayor of Malang Wahyu Hidayat and Sumenep Regent Achmad Fauzi Wongsojudo, the Regent of Ponorogo and the Railway Community from all over Indonesia.
