Odisha: Miscore set fire to the statue of Biju Patnaik, CM Majhi condemns the incident

Odisha chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday strongly condemned the incident of the statue of former chief minister Biju Patnaik in the Patnagarh area in the Balangir district. A person was arrested in connection with the incident that occurred Tuesday morning. The chief minister’s office (CMO) said that CM Mohan Charan Majhi said that the person involved in this incident should have been disgusting and mentally ill. Chief Minister Majhi also instructed the District Police to take strict action against the culprits involved in the incident. The CMO said: “A person has so far been arrested in connection with the incident. The chief minister has also given strict instructions to bring it forward in the event of any conspiracy behind the incident.” Chief Minister Majhi said that the state government believes that he honors all the great boys of Odisha and takes all steps to give them proper respect. Chief Minister Majhi, who expressed his deep reverence for Babu, said that the birth anniversary of former chief minister Biju Patnaik was celebrated with great enthusiasm on the state level on March 5. Opposition Biju Janata Dal also condemned the incident on Tuesday and described it as a heinous crime, which damaged Odisha’s pride and dignity. He demanded immediate arrest from all the prisoners involved in this horrific and unfortunate act. The BJD conducted a massive protest march on Tuesday and condemned the incident of the burning of the statue of veteran Biju Patnaik in Patnagarh in the Balangir district.
