Bhubaneswar, October 4 (IANS). Two prisoners escaped from the Chaudwar Jail in Odisha late Friday night. After this incident, police began intensive search operations throughout the area and called on the ordinary people to provide information about these criminals. The jailers were on leave for the celebration of Dussehra. With the benefit of the event, the prisoners cut the grid of their cell and then escaped by closing the wall of the jail. Police are investigating the incident, according to Cuttack DCP, the incident happened at about 1:30 pm on Friday. The careless prisoners were identified as Suhrid Nagar, the resident of Begusarai (Bihar) Raja Sahni and Madhukant Kumar, resident of Rampur, Saran (Bihar). According to sources, both the careless prisoners were last seen in Chudakhia in Chaudwar at about 3pm. Police suspect both of these bus stalls may try to escape through the stand, train station or other transport. He is expected to run to Bihar, Jharkhand or Kolkata. Police declared these two dangerous criminals and a reward of Rs 50,000 was declared for those who help in their arrest. Police also assured that the identity of the person who gave the information would be kept completely confidential. Meanwhile, DCP Cuttack confirmed the incident by the official ‘X’ post and wrote: ‘These two people escaped from Chaudwar prison. They were last seen in Chudakhia in Chaudwar at about 3am. It is likely that it can be seen at bus base, railway stations or other transport sites. ‘ The police have called on the general public to be careful and if these criminals are seen somewhere, you must immediately notify the police.
