Jakarta – An online motorcycle manager (Ojol), called Stevens Charles Ricky, 48, was robbed by his own passenger. Apart from the missing motorcycle, the victim was smothered with gasoline and set on fire by the offender. Head of public relations for Sampang police, AKP Eko Puji Waluyo, confirmed the incident. The incident happened on Monday (13/10/2025) at 07.30 WIB Monday (13/10/2025) in Penyiburan Hamlet, Panyepen Village, Jrengik District, Sampang Regency. “The victim received an order of a motorcycle -taxi passenger offline with the destination Bangkalan around 05.30 WIB in the Surabaya area,” said Puji, who represented the police chief of Sampang, AKBP Hartono, Monday (13/10/2025). The offender then ran away and took the victim’s motorcycle. “The victim was rescued by locals and taken to Jrengik Community Health Center before referring to Mohamad Zyn Hospital, Sampang,” Puji explained.
