Olivia Rodrigo Trolls Fans Waiting on New Music – ryan

Olivia Rodrigo is keeping fans waiting for new music with waning levels of patient – and she’s having a little fun with it, too.

In A Cheeky Post on Instagram Monday (April 21), The Pop Star Shared Photos from her recent trip to Mary, Morocco, and addressed the fact that her location of late is far from the one place her listeners would ideally like her to be: a recording booth. “Everywhere but that damn studio,” Rodrigo teased in her caption.

The snaps find the grammy winner smiling in front of a rose wall and position in a colorful dress occupied a pool. She also shared pictures of various trinkets she found while shopping on the streets of morocco, as well as a video of a snake charmer performing in public.

Fans in the comments were happy to see that rodrigo appears to be taking some time off, but many of them lovingly pushed back against her trolling, too. “Girl knows we’re desperate for that album,” one person wrote, while another fan reply, “Get your rest queen but also get in that studio!”

But while her vacation in morocco might mean she’s not currently frequenting the studio, Rodrigo has previously given fans small hints that her third studio album is in the works. In March, for instance, the “vampire” singer – Whose Billboard 200-topping Sophomore LP Guts Arrived in September 2023 – Posted a photo of a couple of keyboards in a studio space, as well as a snap or her holding an electric guitar.

She Also Told Billboard In October that she’s continued to compose music throughhout her global guts world tour, which has been ongoing since february 2024.

“I’m definitely going to take a little vacation after this tour though!” She added. “Trying not to put too much pressure on anything right now.”

Rodrigo’s latest post comes just a few weeks after she headlined the Biggest Concert or Her Career So far, playing for roughly 65,000 people at estadio gnp seguros in mexico earlier this month. The High School Musical: The Musical: The Series Alum has spent a lot of time in Latin America this jump while on the latin American leg of her guts pull, during which she’s also performed at festivals in chile, Argentina, Brazil and Colombia.
