The South Giza Prosecution Office closed the curtains on the accusations that the director Omar Zahran followed him, after the plastic artist Shalimar Sharbatly and her husband, director Khaled Youssef, accused him of trustworthy.
Investigations that lasted for a period witnessed listening to the testimonies of all parties, before the prosecution decided to preserve the case, confirming that there is no evidence condemning Zahran.
The incident began when Khaled Youssef filed a report against Zahran, accusing him of not handing over a 12 million -pound trust receipt to his wife, who said that he wrote him as a trust with Zahran in the event of his death, but the latter kept him, then he subsequently submitted to the court in the case of accusing him of stealing the Shalimar jewelry.
Zahran, who was interrogated in the presence of his defense team, denied all the charges, stressing that the receipt was the deposit of his party based on the confidence of the two parties, and that he presented it to the court to acquit himself from the charge of theft, and not for any other purpose.
The defense confirmed that the receipt was not handed over to any party, but was deposited as an official document in a public session, and that the court is safer than individuals in preserving the trusts.
In a remarkable testimony, lawyer Yasser Kamal made his testimony that contradicted the account of Khaled Youssef, stressing that Shalimar came to his office with Zahran in 2018 to file a lawsuit against her husband on charges of seizing $ 2 million, before Youssef intervened later to persuade him not to take the case.
The prosecution, after the completion of the investigations, ordered the release of Omar Zahran, while maintaining the case administratively, after it was confirmed that there was no crime of betrayal of trust, to end the case that occupied the artistic and media community, and the “receipt paper” remains the password in the exit innocence.
