Once suspended from the police station over the death of a jeweller, the head constable suffered a heart attack and died; commotion from family members

Head constable Puran Singh, posted at Kankroli police station in Rajsamand, died of a heart attack late in the evening after being suspended. On Tuesday morning, hundreds of people from the Rajput community gathered outside the mortuary of the RK District Hospital. Accusing the head constable of mental stress and depression, they protested demanding a fair and impartial investigation without any discrimination. Jeweler dies in police custody Jeweler Khubchand Soni was called to the police station for questioning in a theft case. He died there. Bullion Traders Association protested at the mortuary. In the afternoon, four police officers investigating the case were suspended. This includes three head constables and one constable. Action was taken against Head Constable Puran Singh, Head Constable Shakti Singh, Head Constable Jagdish and Constable Durgesh. After this Puran Singh passed away. Family members gathered at the mortuary to mourn the death of the chief constable. After the death of the head constable, family members gathered at the mortuary. The family members demanded the cancellation of the suspension order. Family members claim that Head Constable Puran Singh was in depression. Late at night he had a heart attack, from which he died. People from the community are demanding that the suspension order be cancelled, the family be compensated and the insurance amount be immediately transferred from the bank to their account. Retired police personnel and senior members of the police force went to the collectorate to present their demands.
